"Indigo, Orange" is a meeting of two color poles — full of opposites on and yet interwoven in a single image. Their proximity creates a shimmer of color: a subtle tremor that makes each colour appear stronger, as if it were gaining courage in the presence of the other.
As the eye is unable to grasp their intensity at the same time, it switches back and forth between them. This allows the colors to pulsate, breathe and introduce the viewer to a subtle rhythm. The boundary between them is not a line — it is a space full of energy where indigo and orange meet, exchange glances and give way.
Orange — warm, open and free of negative associations — captures the attention like a flame that warms and revitalises. Indigo — cool, deep and distant — conveys a feeling of peace and contemplation. Together they create the illusion of space on a flat surface and bring out the most beautiful in each other. It is an image of complementary contrast, where opposites do not fight but co-exist, showing that differences can be a source of harmony.
