The series of photographs presents four stories of wonderful men. They are selected from among many examples in which we still often believe today, and which are accompanied by many doubts. We define ourselves, create our worldview, through the prism of history, often without analyzing the emerging new facts and discoveries.
What impact on our life and our world would have the awareness that we live in completely different time, miracles do not exist, you can be immortal and a man has never visited the moon ... Are the roots of the past so important for us in defining our own identity?
At least, how much space do we allow to take mystification in our faith?
1722

The photo tells about the great King of the Franks and the Longobards, the Holy Roman Emperor, the father of a united Europe, Charlemagne, who according to the phantom time theory never existed. Is it possible for 300 years of our history to be simply invented? Did the events between 7th and 10th centuries really exist? There are many indications that this may be true, but there are also arguments against this theory. The thesis of the dating fraud has never been fully challenged, but neither has it been confirmed.
The phantom time theory concern the period between 614 and 911 AD, which is 297 years, which would imply that the year of this photograph was not 2019 but 1722. If we certainly cannot determine the time we live in, is there anything we can be sure of?
In the photo, on the sword graved the inscription "Karolus Magnus + Cogito Ergo Dubito", meaning "Charlemagne + I am therefore I doubt." Descartes' paraphrase is a kind of invitation to seek the truth, but also to answer the basic question: what truth are we ready for?

Ecce Homo

The photograph is an excuse to reflect on the function of the miracles of Jesus Christ in Christian dogma. What strength would have his science if he had all the miracles removed from the New Testament, as well as if proofs of its existence - such as the Shroud of Turin or the Dead Sea Documents - were refuted?    Would it play such an important role in shaping the entire Western civilization? Could faith in this case be based on the power of human wisdom  and not on the supernatural skills attributed to it and fabricated evidence of his existence?

Wundermann

Count de Saint-Germain is a historical character  according to much preserved evidence the count lived for over 300 years. A man of many talents, a linguist, poet, musician.  He predicted Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI death by guillotine, he was a friend of Napoleon, helped Catherine of Russia to take the throne.  However, it was the alchemy and elixir of youth  that brought him the fame. He was last seen in Paris in 1874. He was called Wundermann.
It is 1879,   the Second Industrial Revolution is getting bigger and bigger.    Count de Saint-Germain sits on a chair in the living room lit by electric lamps.  He holds a lump of gold in his  hand  on the table is a scrap of lead. Anyone else believe in alchemy?

Fly Apollo

50 years after landing on the moon we are still not sure of this event. Wasn't the Apollo 11 mission just a hoax?  Did Neil Armstrong really stand on the moon?
The photo shows the moment when the Apollo 11 crew is walking on the surface of the moon.  The magic of the moment is muddled by a fly wandering around the suit. Would such evidence be enough to dispel doubts into a great leap for humanity in seeking of the true?

Postscriptum

These four stories evoke faith in super heroes. However, time brings changes.  Super heroes are leaving…
The photo shows a hybrid - a wish robot connected to an ATM. It is an allegory to the present day, where faith and ideals are replaced by technology and money.
How uncritical are we towards the objects of our faith?   Where are we going now?
